Colmac GF gentle flow unit coolers are designed for food processing work rooms having low overhead ceilings. The dual evaporator coil design distributes air in two directions at 180 degrees. Low noise high efficiency fans move air gently at low velocity for worker comfort. Other commercial unit coolers on the market use small diameter (3/8”) tubes which severely limit the operating range of the cooler. Colmac GF unit coolers are built with large diameter (5/8”) tubes which allow coolers to operate over a very wide capacity range, ideal in applications with large pull-down loads. Copper tube-aluminum fin construction is standard for operation with HFC refrigerants and glycols. Aluminum tube-aluminum fin construction is available for DX ammonia. Hot gas defrost, electric defrost, water defrost, and air defrost are available. All stainless steel construction is available for food processing rooms where harsh cleaners such as sodium hypochlorite or potassium hydroxide (caustic soda) are used.
