Commercial HVAC coils are ARI-410 listed. Coils can be manufactured according to the requirements of the ASME Pressure Vessel Code and ‘U’ stamped. European customers can purchase coils meeting the requirements of the PED (Pressure Equipment Directive). Colmac manufacturing engineers have developed the capability to manufacture coils with a wide range of materials including copper, brass, cupro-nickel, aluminum, carbon steel, hot-dip galvanized steel, and stainless steel. A number of coil coating systems are also available to help match a corrosion solution to your budget. Whether the environment is acidic or alkaline, salt-laden, or de-ionized, we have the capability to select the proper combination of materials to match your duty requirements. Colmac has also developed the capability to efficiently manufacture a wide range of coil sizes and dimensions. Coil blocks can be manufactured with tubing diameters ranging from 3/8” to 1” with dimensions from 6” to 480”! Another special area of innovation includes high hygiene coil designs for use in food processing applications. Patented coil designs for the cheese processing industry have been inspected and approved by the USDA. Anti-microbial coil construction is also available for critical process air handling applications in the food processing and pharmaceutical industries. Turbine inlet cooling coils using either chilled water or ammonia refrigerant are a Colmac specialty.
